Celebrate Giving!

Are you ready for ever-stronger relationships with God, one another, and our global family?  You’re invited to a special Celebrate Giving! worship service on Sunday, May 31.

We will worship God by bringing our Estimate of Giving cards to the altar. As you prepare for this Sunday, please consider giving as a way to grow spiritually.

An Estimate of Giving card will be available to everyone in worship, and you will have time to fill it out during the service.  Every person who completes an Estimate of Giving card will do so voluntarily and in such a way that no one feels personal embarrassment if he or she chooses not to fill out a card.  If you are not in a place to give financially, the cards also include opportunities to commit to decreasing debt, listening, learning, serving, inviting, and more.

Many of us will want to pray through our giving in advance and talk with others about our commitment.  If you have children at home, please include your children in these discussions!  It’s a great way to pass on our values to our families.

If you are unable to worship on May 31, you may mail in your estimate of giving ahead of time, drop it in the offering plate in June, or complete it online at http://universityumc.com/giving.

After Celebrate Giving! Sunday, the Administrative Team will construct a 2015-2016 budget based on your generosity.  Your gift to God will cause University UMC to grow as a church where people of all cultures, all nations, and all ages can come together to love and serve God and neighbor.

Through your generosity, God will use you to change lives, from Nepal to University City. Your gifts support children and youth, our food pantry, mission, worship, and Appalachia Service Project, among other ministries.

Thank you in advance for your enthusiastic participation in Celebrate Giving Sunday!
