Administrative Team Met on November 5

The UUMC Administrative Team's (AT) regular meeting was held on November 5.  The AT handles the functions related to buildings and grounds, personnel, and financial matters with our vision of growing as a church for all cultures, all nations, and all ages.

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) reported that they and the Finance Team, are finalizing some adjustments to the 2016 Pastoral Support.  On November 19, the UUMC Leadership Council will vote on the changes to the support and the subsequently-revised church budget at a Charge Conference before its regular meeting that evening.

Church policies were discussed.  In development are internet usage, Dimmit Fund (used for Pastoral education expenses), and computer password policies.  A project will start soon to implement the recently adopted Record Retention Policy so that we securely store all church records that must be permanently kept or retained for a period of time mostly according to the IRS.

The group reviewed the UUMC revenue and expense trends, the Trustee's recent and future work on the church and parsonage buildings and grounds including a brief review of the recent inspection of the parsonage by an outside firm, and the growth of the church fund accounts.

With Rev. Diane excused from the meeting, the group provided input to the SPRC concerning Rev. Diane's performance to support the UUMC recommendation due on December 1, to Bishop Schnase and the UUMC Missouri Cabinet concerning her future appointment to UUMC.

Status reports were given concerning the progress by the ad-hoc committee reviewing the on-going relationship with the UUMC preschool and the committee reviewing the long-term needs and costs for the church and parsonage.
