Caring for Inactive Members: How to Make God’s House a Home
Friday, August 21, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 22, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
What do we do together as a church? At least part of the answer to that question is found in Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way…fulfill the law of Christ.”
We are a congregation that does carry each other’s burdens, and we can learn to do it even better. It is in this spirit that UUMC is offering a retreat on the evening of August 22 and the morning of August 23: Caring for Inactive Members: How to Make God’s House a Home. We hope many from the congregation will get involved in this course. We hope you will be involved.
Caring for Inactive Members will teach us how to best relate to inactive members and welcome them home. The course will be six hours, split between Friday evening and Saturday morning, and will be a combination of lecture, discussion, and exercises.
There is no charge for the course. A suggested donation of $25 per person will cover the cost of course materials. Please see Rev. Diane if you have questions about costs.
Please register below. Registration for this important class ends August 9, and participants will receive their books by August 16.
